Dr Yash Singbal joined Ipswich Cardiac Centre as an Interventional Cardiologist after returning from New York. He completed an advanced fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY USA. Prior to this he undertook advanced training in cardiology at Princess Alexandra Hospital and Royal Brisbane Hospital and an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Yash is a Staff Specialist Interventional Cardiologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital and is also affiliated with St. Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital. He performs elective and emergency coronary intervention including acute infarct angioplasty, treatment of chronic total occlusions and intracoronary imaging primarily via the radial approach and is trained in structural heart intervention. He has also trained in endovascular treatment treatment of peripheral arterial disease and renal denervation for hypertension and is certified for endovascular intervention by Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
His interests include clinical cardiology, coronary and structural heart disease intervention and renal denervation for management of resistant hypertension.He continues to maintain an active interest in clinical research and publishes in and reviews articles for peer reviewed medical and cardiology journals. Yash has a keen interest in teaching, he is a Senior Lecturer in Medicine at University of Queensland and mentors cardiology trainees, fellows and medical students.
